Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Presence College?

Presence College is a non-denominational Christian college that offers 15 online certificate courses in Christian counseling, ministry and coaching. Each course is self-paced, takes about 40 hours and ends with a printable certificate endorsed by Shakeid Ministries Global. About Presence College.

Is Presence College legit?

Yes. Presence College is a real online Christian college with 15 self-paced certificate courses, a 15-day money-back guarantee and a Trustpilot rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 279 reviews. It is privately accredited by KISA, its courses are endorsed by Shakeid Ministries Global, and it is clear about the limits: its certificates are not degrees or licenses. Read our honest look at Presence College.

Is Presence College accredited?

Yes, privately. Presence College holds institutional accreditation from the Kingdom International Standards Authority (KISA), a private, faith-based accreditor, awarded after an independent assessment of the college. It is not government or statutory accreditation, and it applies to the college rather than to individual courses. Every course is also endorsed by Shakeid Ministries Global. What KISA accreditation means.

Is the certificate a degree or a license?

No. Presence College courses lead to a ministry certificate, not an academic degree or a professional license. They are built for lay counselors, coaches, pastors and ministry leaders serving in churches, ministries and faith-based practices. To work as a licensed counselor or therapist you need an accredited degree, supervised hours and a state license, so check the rules where you live before offering paid services. Certificate or degree: which do you need?

How long does it take to complete a course?

Each Presence College course takes about 40 hours of study. Courses are 100% online and self-paced: most students finish in four to eight weeks, but there is no deadline and you keep lifetime access to the lessons.

What is included when I enroll?

Every course includes about ten modules of PDF and audio lessons, a quiz after each module, the final exam (pass mark 80%, retakes allowed), a printable certificate, lifetime access, email support and the bonus Client Attraction Certificate Course. You pay once: there is no subscription.

Which course should I take first?

Start with the course that matches the people you want to help. Christian Counselor is the foundation course and the most popular first step into counseling, Pastoral Care suits people serving or leading in a church, and Christian Life Coach suits those who want to coach people toward their goals. Help me choose matches your goal to a course.

Can I study on my phone?

Yes. Every lesson can be read or listened to on a phone, tablet or computer, and your progress is saved as you go, so you can study on a commute, during a lunch break or at home.

Can I study from outside the United States?

Yes. Presence College is fully online and welcomes students from every country, including Canada, Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Prices are shown in your local currency where available, and the lessons are in English.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Every course comes with a 15-day money-back guarantee: email us within 15 days of enrolling for a full refund, as long as you have completed less than 20% of the course and have not started the final exam. See the refund policy.

Is there a discount for taking several courses?

Yes. Take two or more courses together and save an extra 30% on each of them, with a ready-made course bundle or by building your own. The discount is applied automatically in your cart.
